Moncler Gamme Rouge S/S 2011 womenswear show
The chilly square of Place Vendôme received a jolt of adrenaline on Tuesday afternoon when Moncler staged a presentation that had more life than any runway show we’ve seen in Paris. As a rocking soundtrack from Jeremy Healy reverberated around the space, a pulsating strobe lightshow worked in tandem to both reveal and conceal models, clothes and dancers, while a troupe of dancers from the Académie Internationale de Comédie Musicale, sporting massive diving goggles and all white or black bodysuits undulated and fell to the floor en masse. It was a fabulous spectacle, directed by Alexandre de Betak and choreographed by Blanca Li. The clothes, of course, came courtesy of the unstoppable Giambattista Valli.
