Portrait of Tracy
My role: Animation, Sound Editing Portrait of Tracy is the visual interpretation of the Jaco Pastorius song of the same name. This film represents early student work completed while at Edinboro University. It was created entirely with analog techniques. I animated by scratching a needle directly onto 16mm film and colored with Prismacolor markers. The music was edited by cutting and splicing magnetic tape and synchronized to the visuals using an old reel-to-reel editor with the aid of a grease pencil.
