Orienting attention in the human brain : beyond space and time [electronic resource] / Kia Nobre.
(CIT): Dr. Nobre's research investigates the principles of functional organisation of neural systems controlling cognition. She uses state-of-the-art methodology with which to image non-invasively the human brain at work (e.g., functional magnetic resonance imaging and event related potentials), in order to characterise the neural systems underpinning selective attention, language and memory. She is an elected Council Member of the Organisation of Human Brain Mapping. Dr. Nobre also heads the Brain & Cognition Lab. The methodological approach is to combine behavioural measures (e.g., reaction times, eye movements) with non-invasive brain imaging methods (mainly fMRI and ERPs). NIH Neuroscience Seminar Series.
