Tired of empty one-night stands and drug dealing, Rick (Vin Diesel) decides to turn his life around and find a meaningful relationship. He meets Heather, a beautiful young woman who he sees as his ticket to a better life. But old habits die hard for Rick and he can’t seem to shake his boorish street attitude and volatile temper. While trying to fit into Heather's lily white world, Rick's macho image takes a beating from his juvenile and small-minded 'homies', who see his attempts at bettering himself as a betrayal. Vin Diesel makes the transition from all-American action hero to bona fide film director with aplomb in this sensitively-rendered drama.
