Julie Taymor ("Across the Universe") adapts William Shakespeare’s play with this adaptation starring Helen Mirren in what is usually the male role of Prospero. Mirren is an exiled magician who calls upon a tempest to bring her enemies to her. The ensemble cast also includes Alfred Molina and Russell Brand.
