內地經濟增長放慢，上半年經濟增長11.1%，而第二季按季增長較首季放慢1.6個百分點。 反映通脹的居民消費價格，按年上升2.6%，升幅較5月稍為放緩。 國家統計局指出，上半年經濟形勢良好，物價基本可控制，而經濟增長放緩，有利壓抑經濟過熱的情況，但全年能否保八，視乎多項國內外因素。 有本港經濟師指出，中央調控力度或會放鬆，但對樓市的調控仍會繼續。
