Pop Life: Damien Hirst twins
Identical twins Rosie and Georgie prepare to participate in Tate Modern’s 'Pop Life' exhibition as part of a work by Damien Hirst. Damien Hirst's work 'Ingo, Torsten' was originally conceived for the Cologne art fair 'Unfair' in 1992 and consists of two similar spot paintings beneath which site a pair of identical twins. The work is titled after the people performing who are required to dress identically and act as similarly as possible whether that be by reading the same book, knitting, or sitting in the same position. This film documents identical twins Georgie and Rosie preparing to participate in the work which features in the exhibition 'Pop Life - Art in a Material World', Tate Modern, 1 October 2009 to 17 January 2010. The project brief requires participants to present identical styles of hair and clothing during the performance.
