SPAIN: Spain’s 'stolen babies'
In November 1967, in the midst of the Franco dictatorship, 18-year-old single mother Amparo Gonzalez gave birth to what doctors told her was a stillborn child. Today though, she’s convinced her baby was stolen and sold to people the Franco regime believed were more worthy parents. Gonzalez is one of thousands of women who are now fighting to find out the truth, and maybe even their children.
