Der Landhof Hawig bei Recklinghausen ist seit dem Jahr 899 in Familienbesitz. Und damit das auch in den nächsten Jahrhunderten so bleibt, haben sich Mechthild Hawig und ihr Mann Stefan einiges einfallen lassen: Eine Kürbiszucht zum Beispiel. Über 200 Sorten wachsen hier.
