The Fountain — The Fountain is a touching father-daughter story following filmmaker Callie Shanafelt’s quest to understand her dad's childhood in a religious cult during the 1950's near Los Angeles.  Shanafelt?s grandparents followed Krishna Venta, a man claiming to be the second coming of Christ, until were killed by suicide bombers at the cult he led in 1958. The film offers unique insight into why one couple rejected mainstream culture and the lasting effects of their choice on their children.
