The LAMP Initiative
The Appalachian College Association started using a single open-source instance of Sakai in April 2006. The LAMP project, short for the Learning Asset Management Project is a collaborative community of learners, linked via a common software platform and a shared learning philosophy, across five states in central Appalachia. The project has grown significantly over the last year. WebProNews talked with the current President of the ACA, Dr. Alice Brown and the former Chief Instructional Technologist and now current consultant, Martin Ramsay about the project. For more details of Sakai and LAMP, reported by Kara Ratliff, keep watching WebProNews.
