In part 1 of this 3 part series, Gwen Burgett Thrasher performs Paul Lansky’s "Idle Fancies", a collection of six preludes for marimba and small percussion set-up. Included in this video, recorded at PASIC 2010's New Music Showcase Concert, are movements 1 & 2: "Laughing Matter" and "Soliloquy".
