Choreography in Film
Anne Fletcher is an American film director and choreographer. In her first roles Fletcher appeared as a dancer, in films like “The Flintstones” and “The Mask.” She also developed choreography for the Oscar-nominated film drama “Boogie Nights” with Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore and Heather Graham. Over the next ten years, she continued to choreograph mainstream fare including: “Bring It On,” “The Family Man,” “The Wedding Planner,” “Along Came Polly,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Hairspray” and “Step Up 2.” In recent years, Fletcher has established herself as a leading filmmaker and has directed three hit movies. The first was Disney’s breakout dance hit “Step Up” which she followed with the Katherine Heigl starrer “27 Dresses,” and most recently she topped the box office charts with the romantic comedy “The Proposal.”
