マスクを着けて練習する石巻商野球部
宮城県石巻市の石巻商業高校野球部は今、マスクを着けながらの練習を余儀なくされている。東日本大震災の津波の被害で、校舎横の市有地が広大ながれき置き場と化したからだ。在校生１０人が震災で亡くなった同校。校庭や校舎の一部も津波で浸水した。がれきの山は今や約１１万㌧と、体育館の屋根に迫る高さだ。周囲は悪臭が鼻を突き、粉じんも舞う。校舎にもハエがあふれる。県などは６月９日、空気の汚染度を調べる機器を同校に設けた。その結果によっては、屋外での部活動が制限される可能性もある。
