Serge Gainsbourg infamous for his music, in particular the song Je t’aime... moi non plus, which he recoreded with then girlfriend Jane Birkin after origianly recording it with previous love Brigitte Bardot. Gainsbourg the film charts Serge's early life, growing up in the 1940's Nazi occupied Paris, his sucessful song-writing career right up to his death in 1991. This is a truely beautiful film by director Joann Sfar (La Vie en Rose and Amelie) about one of France's greatest mavericks.
