Reeling from a bad breakup from a woman who still haunts his thoughts, Billy (Nick Stahl) returns to his hometown in Virginia for support and starts spending time with his childhood best friend, Stanley (Jonathan Jackson), who he hasn’t seen in years. But Stanley has some deep emotional issues, and Billy teams with Stanley's roommate (Christopher M. Clark) to learn the extent of his madness — and what happened to Stanley's girlfriend.
