When Allen Fieldhouse opened its doors on March 1 1955, it began a journey for 51 years of basketball memories, but the night was remembered for more than the 77-66 defeat of Kansas State. For Frances Lintecum and nine other original cheerleaders, it was a night that ignited a University of Kansas cheerleading tradition.
