Bob Sonderman, director of the Museum Resource Center, gave a tour of the football field-sized warehouse which houses roughly 2.5 million archaeological objects from National Park locations in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. He talked about the variety of materials housed and the science behind artifact preservation. Topics included the Museum Emergency Response Team that operates after problems such as Hurricane Katrina.
