(CIT): The symposium will further explore the potential of functional genomics in the refinement of critical care medicine. Experts from numerous clinical specialties, micro- and molecular biologists, and experts in high-throughput technologies and computational science will join to exchange information and ideas in areas including: - diagnostic proteomics - pharmacogenomics as applied to critical illness and injury - gene expression in blood components - genetics of immunity - primary data from patients and models of critical illness - policy issues raised by the demands of functional genomics on resources and experimental design.
