Une belle danseuse de strip-tease, Lili, appelle Sam a son secours. Un journaliste qui la faisait chanter vient d'être assassiné. Sam est entraîné dans une enquête rocambolesque compliquée par la jalousie de Sally et un commissaire de police soupçonneux. Il découvre malgré tout les coupables, la femme du mort et son amant, et empoche le magot qu’ils avaient volé.
