Tweet Travis Tomasie instruction doing 6 rds (?) apiece. This demonstrates the diminishing importance/effectiveness of high capacity extended pistol magazines [with more training & practice] in an active shooter scenario. Hi caps are heavier and unbalanced in pistols, have a much higher failure rate not only due to extreme metallurgical spring strain (single or double stack) & compacting; bending/torsion of mag walls, but also due to frequently poor construction combined w/ weight & pressure on the base plate-they fly off like children’s toys whenever dropped, spilling the rounds, spring and plate everywhere (avoided by spending $35+ on the factory mag if you can find them, rather than $12 on the cheap, available non-factory versions). The extended length allows for easier disarming of the shooter, breaking/disabling of the mag and pistol.
