A real-life historic drama by director Kaspar Heidelbach, the film "Berlin 36" is set during the Olympic Games of 1936. The Nazis are under pressure from the US to include Jewish athletes in the national team. Jewish high-jumper Gretl Bergmann gets her chance but the Nazis field an unlikely candidate to compete against her.
