Clinton, Gates Cautious on Afghan-Taliban Contacts
Top U.S. officials say they support efforts by Afghan leaders to pursue reconciliation with the Taliban. But U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warn that those efforts may not be fruitful. They spoke to reporters in Brussels Thursday after meeting with NATO colleagues. VOA’s Robert Raffaele has more.
