Nicole Moudaber joins Carl Cox’s Revolution
Nicole Moudaber grew up in Lebanon and Nigeria and, after developing a love of all things house, she introduced it to the Middle East back in the 90s. She then moved to London where she ran Southeast Recordings and the Turnmills night, Soundworx. Her passion drove her to travel the world in search of the best parties, but she always stayed in the PR side of things rather than actually playing, until recently…She’s developed a terrific group of legendary supporters, such as Carl Cox and John Digweed, who not only admire her DJ-ing but also her production work. Cox and Digweed asked her to work with them on a guest mix a couple of years ago and she played with Cox in the summer last year in Ibiza, which is where we join her in this clip.We meet Nicole outside Sa Punta at another glorious Ibiza sunset. She tells us about playing at Carl Cox’s night at Space, and about her days as a promoter when she booked over 500 DJs to play but never thought of getting behind the decks herself. She doesn’t have nerves in the main room, the Pioneer equipment makes it easy for her to lose herself in the music and party with everyone else!Next for Moudaber?
