無逸の心死を哭す 吉田松陰
「無逸の心死を哭す」は安政六年二月に吉田栄太郎（後の吉田稔麿）に宛てて吉田松陰が送った手紙です。松蔭は栄太郎に”無逸”の字を与え、その人物を高く評価し、将来を嘱望していましたが、栄太郎は心中深く期するところがあり、松下村塾を離れます。これを嘆き、勤皇の心が死んだのか、と問いかけ嘆いたのがこの手紙の内容です。その後、吉田稔麿は池田屋事件で斃れるまで、勤皇の志士として活躍することになります。
