Flooding Prompts Evacuations in Pakistan
(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: August 4, 2010) More Pakistanis are fleeing from floods, as the Indus River overran its banks. Evacuees are hoping that the Pakistani government can step in and protect them. Kenyans are voting on a new constitution, as the country continues to grapple with the fallout from 2007’s post-election violence. Much of the medical aid that Gaza has received has been unusable and ends up in garbage dumps. Scientists at an Israeli university are looking into ways to use potatoes as a source of electricity for the world's poor.
