Play Airport welcomes oldest jet plane
Britain’s oldest flying jet aircraft has landed at Coventry Airport where it will be used in air shows and for pilot training.The Gloster Meteor T7 G-BWMF first flew in 1943 and was the first operational jet to be used in World War II. It flew until 1965.The model that will be based in Coventry was built in 1949.
