(LinkAsia: July 8, 2011) 40 years ago, an American table tennis team broke the icy relations between the U.S. and China.  They played an exhibition game against a Chinese team in Beijing. That small event led to Richard Nixon’s historic visit to China and the establishment of diplomatic and economic relations. Members of both teams from 1971 are in the U.S. to commemorate what came to be known as "Ping Pong Diplomacy".
