Happy Halloween. Yes, that’s a sock puppet.  This was a bumper skit from the "Big Chuck and Hoolihan Show". In the late 1960s and through the 1970s, they played B horror movies for a local television affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. They had a Friday night slot competing with "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. Before and after commercial breaks they would tell jokes, read letters from kids, an More..d put together some of the corniest comic sketches imaginable. Big Chuck and Hoolihan are still well loved in northeast Ohio.
