New birth control still risky
New research showed that the drug Desogestrel, when combined with other hormones, can double the risk of fatal blood clots. Jeff Sigler, owner of Sigler’s Pharmacy in Lawrence, said birth control pills have somtimes been associated with increased health risks in the past.
