After the Supreme Court declared PJ Thomas' appointment as Central Vigilance Commissioner was illegal, the PM finds himself in the direct line of fire. A committee headed by the PM insisted on Mr Thomas even though the BJP’s Sushma Swaraj argued that a criminal case of corruption against him should have ruled him out.
