Prada S/S2011 Beijing show
There was a noticeable presence of silk and a significant absence of cotton on the catwalk for Miuccia Prada’s Spring collection, which she specially reworked for the label's Beijing show. Elegant Opulence was the key, and in a nod to the growing Chinese fashion market, there was no lack of glossy silk outfits, silver leather platforms, sequin-embellished dreses and pop-up brights which took shape in every form from fur stoles to pattern prints. And sealing the fact that this 'spring-cleaned' collection really is about exclusivity to the Chinese market, the clothing from the show is now available made-to-order at Prada’s stores in China and Hong Kong.
