My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done?
Amateur acteur Brad (Michael Shannon) speelt in een toneelstuk over Oedipus. Hij gaat iets teveel op in zijn personage, ziet dingen die er niet zijn en dreigt zijn echte moeder te vermoorden. Brad sluit zich op met twee bijzondere gijzelaars. Terwijl agent Havenhurst (Willem Dafoe) op veilge afstand met de ogenschijnlijk levensgevaarlijke Brad onderhandelt, laten flashbacks zien hoe het zover heeft kunnen komen.
