The Real Rebel Yell
This clip is taken from a Civil War documentary. This rare video clip with audio picks up the Rebel Yell, used by Confederate soldiers for the first time at First Manassas (First Bull Run) in 1861. The elderly Confederate and Union veterans are shown reuniting over a stonewall in 1938 at the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The clip ends with a chorus of Rebel Yells.
