Péladeau spoke about how his father first built up the business by buying Le Journal de Rosemont in 1950 and how he was appointed chief executive upon his father's death in 1997. The CEO of the second-largest media chain in Canada finished his speech discussing the acquisition of Sun Media and launching Sun Television.
