When figuring out who to invite to your rehearsal dinner, some couples opt to invite everyone who has come from out of town for the wedding. But this is not strictly necesarry if you are trying to save money for the big day itself. The necessary people at the rehearsal dinner are the couple about to be married, their their immediate family, their officiant and the officiant’s spouse, and the members of your wedding party. It's a rehearsal for the wedding, so you can make it a small event if you want... but if you can afford to, invite all your out of town guests and start your wedding celebration a night early. It's up to you... it's your wedding, after all.
