Traumatized by witnessing the murder of his parents as a young boy, young man Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels east transforms himself into the Dark Knight.His return to Gotham City finds the decrepit city infested with mobsters and other criminals. Wayne becomes determined to revitalize both the lagging business his parents left behind and the city he now calls home.
