Immer wieder kommen Boote mit Flüchtlingen aus Nordafrka. Die meisten kommen aus Tunesien und werden auf der kleinen italienischen Insel vor Sizilien zunächst in Lager gebracht. Diese Lager fassen offiziell jedoch nur 850 Menschen und sind laut den italienischen Behoerden total ueberfüllt.
