Rescued kitten awaits adoption
July 9: Hundreds of people have lined up with offers to adopt “Verrazano,” the weeks-old kitten saved from an almost-certain death on the New York City bridge for which he is named. Animal control officer Brendon Ocascio recounts the rescue that began when he spotted another driver toss something out of a car window.
