SUPER 14 RUGBY 2010: Week 9
SUPER 14 2010 review Round 9 WOW what an exciting round 9! We had a feast of make or break games, yeah I am talking about great rugby action. Bulls 33 vs Chiefs 19 We kicked off with the defending champions proving why they are currently holding on to that cup winning the Chiefs for the 1st time ever in Hamilton. This was truly a re-match of the final last season ...and it was a hard battle. The Chiefs overpowered the Bulls, but the Bulls fought back with 4 tries, Fourie du preez would however argue 5 tries ?? OH and Thankfully Morneâ??s boot made up for his moment of embarrassment. Force 41 vs Highlanders 27 After David Hill kicked the Force to victory last weekend he has earned a good reputation in the australian camp, now known as â??the big generalâ?. Seems like all the Force needed was a a bit of confidence because this weekend they showed everyone that they can play brilliant rugby by picking up 6 tries. The Highlanders just didnâ??t know what hit them, maybe a bye will do them good. Stormers 33 vs Blues 21 The Blues were thriving on their confidence after their big win last weekend and the stormers proved that they have some back bone, stepping up to the challenge. The Stormers had a huge advantage with early tries, whilst it took the Blues a hell of a long time to get into the game and then they sulked because they didnâ??t capitalize on the opportunities that were handed to them, shame. The Stormers are back on recovery route, doing it in style. I think they had one hell of a shock with a loss to the Force. Crusaders 20 vs Waratahs 13 The Crusaders fired up against the Tahs and everyone expected a tuff game. Headlineâ??s claimed the game was a bruising battle, I thought it was incredible and a classic physical battle between the teams. Dan Carter recovered from his crap performance last week and The Triple C phenomenon (cutaway) were on full display as Carter kicked himself into the history books yet again. T...
