【魚類】オーストラリアハイギョ（上野動物園）
オーストラリアに住むシーラカンスと同じ肉鰭綱（にくきこう）の古代魚。現在の動物（四肢動物）の祖先に近い状態で生き残っており、ダーウィンが「生きた化石」と言及したことでも有名。普段は大きい水槽ですが、特設展示に動員され小さな水槽に入れられてます。ごついウロコにしっかりしたヒレなど、古代魚らしさがにじみ出ています。[ロケ地]東京都台東区
