Gator’s celebrity reaches an all time high.   In the '80s, skateboarding hit its stride in the public consciousness. A trio of guys from San Diego, California, rode that wave to fame and fortune. One of those guys was Mark "Gator" Rogowski. After years of living the high life, he became a born-gain Christian, then beat, raped and murdered one of the women he had befriended during his party days. After confessing to a Christian friend, he was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to prison. He'll be eligible for parole in 2010.
