康文署：圓洲角塌樹因真菌感染 署方並無卸責
康文署副署長鄭錦榮表示，初步知道沙田圓洲角路倒塌的大樹分枝，樹本的莖部出現真菌感染，署方一個月前曾經檢查該樹，表面沒有異樣，不排除中間出現變化，或受天氣影響，強調署方並無卸責。 鄭錦榮表示，康文署管轄的樹木達76萬棵不可能未經目視就作深入調查，署方一般是透過前線人員目視，再作處理，強調工作人員是有經驗和資深。 發展局首席助理秘書長區毓麟表示，已找出2000棵問題樹木，但出事的樹木不包括在內。部分樹木屬於古樹名木資料，局方會考慮有何方法，將部分公眾希望知道的資料，向公眾發布。
