Vodafone tax case: I-T dept to withdraw funds
The Income Tax Department is all set to withdraw the Rs 2,500 crore deposited by Telecom giant Vodafone in the escrow account as per the Supreme Courts direction. While the department will meet its tax collection target, this money will have to be returned if the case swings in favour of Vodafone.
