MLBで活躍したマーク・マグワイア氏、現役時代のステロイド使用認め謝罪
アメリカ・大リーグで活躍したマーク・マグワイア氏が、現役時代、ステロイド(筋肉増強剤)を使用したことを認め、謝罪した。マグワイア氏は「ステロイド使用を人生で最も後悔している。家族やMLB関係者に謝罪します」と話した。マグワイア氏は、当時、年間最多となる70本のホームランを放った1998年など、およそ10年間ステロイドを使用し、テレビ番組の中で、「愚かだった」と謝罪をした。
