有醫生和藥劑師團體關注一些集團式藥房及醫療機構，收集市民健康狀況資料，建議政府立法防止這些個人資料被出售或在未經授權下，轉移到第三者。 西醫工會及執業藥劑師協會表示，一些集團透過向客戶提供折扣卡，收集個人資料，這些健康狀況資料，如果被第三者取得，會對當事人產生影響，例如被不知名公司用作電話推銷。 團體又建議修訂與藥房相關的實務守則，加入具法律效力的條文，防止個人資料轉移。
