High Speed Beverage Cooler
This machine can cool a can of soft drink from room temperature (70 ºF) to drinking temperature (45 ºF) in less than 30 seconds for 5 cents per can. It does not fizz when opened and is cold and refreshing. It uses liquid CO2 to create dry ice, which cools the beverage, which could be anything from cokes to beers. The idea is cooling on demand. With further development, this technology could be integrated into vending machines. That means instead of keeping all the soft drink cold 24/7 you only use energy to cool what you want when you want it. This device was developed in my senior design class at Georgia Tech.
