This tattoo documentary film is about the tradition of tattoos and the tattooing culture of the Mentawai tribe in Indonesia, Mentawai Shamanism and the vanishing of "Arat Sabulungan" as the religion of nature for the Mentawai tribe which has been eliminated by the oppression for the sake of the state’s assimilation, civilization and politics and recent religions in Indonesia.
