New WPI series comes into effect from September 14
In a bid to reflect changes in India’s price line better, the new Wholesale Price Index series came into effect from Tuesday. The Planning Commission said the new WPI is a better reflection of changes in consumption pattern as it includes a wider range of consumer items like mineral water and flowers.
