Shot 07/11/2011.## A police officer and his canine partner have been shot while assisting federal agents who were serving a federal warrant. Police say the officer and his dog went around the back of the house and someone began shooting at them. A Lifeline helicopter is taking the officer to the hospital. Police say the officer was wearing a bullet resistant vest. The police K-9 was shot in the face during the incident. Indiana State Police say the dog underwent emergency surgery.
